Altoona owes its origin and growth to the Pennsylvania Railroad. Nestled among the rolling Appalachian Mountains, Altoona served as a westward passage for trains around the Allegheny Ridge. As the local economy shifted away the rail industry, local leadership established enterprise development programs to diversify the area’s economy and attract new manufacturing jobs. Urban redevelopment activities revitalized major sections of the city and created new housing, educational, and professional opportunities.

GAI’s expansion into central Pennsylvania began with the 2010 opening of our Altoona office.
