Commercial/Residential Projects

Local, state and city regulations often require cultural resources investigations for grants, license applications and federal funding. Whether a city, county or municipality, GAI can do the leg work for clients who may not have had experience with or needed this service before. From assisting with demolition and eminent domain projects for urban redevelopment to identifying historic districts for city preservation plans to identifying historic buildings for economic development and federal tax credits, GAI’s CRM team can help.

Cultural Resources Projects

We provide environmental studies that include siting, wetland delineation, watershed planning, stream restoration, habitat restoration, endangered species survey, biological assessment, vegetation and forestry management plans, invasive species management, recreation and comprehensive planning, and visual impact assessments for clients in a variety of service sectors.

Environmental Studies Projects

Our award-winning landscape architectural services include Master Planning, Streetscape Designs, Landscape Plans and associated Survey services. GAI’s team of professional landscape architects work on a wide range of project types to achieve a balance between the constructed and natural environment. Our projects range from the site design for a small, urban park to a regional study of native ecosystems.

Landscape, Streetscape, Hardscape Projects

GAI understands and knows how to manage the range of planning and permitting issues that follow land development projects: public resistance, environmental issues, local zoning issues, site topography and regulatory hurdles. Our corporate culture fosters a stable, talented and service-oriented staff to provide integrated strategies and solutions to meet project-specific needs and to help solve neighborhood, community and regional development issues, and to provide a strong sense of community. From conceptual site design through final construction, we take a multi-disciplined approach for every phase of every project, including residential, commercial, industrial and mixed-use properties.

Planning and Permitting Projects

GAI meets land documentation needs of public and private land owners, developers, and government agencies using state-of-the-art GPS equipment for horizontal and vertical control surveys. We provide comprehensive surveying services for a range of applications – including boundary, construction, design, topographic, and wetland mitigation surveys. GAI also offers specialized surveys applications such as archaeological, cultural/historical, utility location, legal determination, and eminent domain technical services support.

Survey Projects

GAI knows that every new construction project, whether it is a road, a bridge, a building, or another form of transportation, requires meticulous attention to new utility systems and to those already in place and in potential conflict. Our Utility Coordination team takes the guess-work out of the liability and destructive consequences of cutting or disrupting existing utility services in and around new construction projects. By concentrating on effective communication, scheduling and follow-up, we successfully reduce the risk of liability, decrease utility relocation costs and aid providers in maintaining superior service to their clientele.

Utility Assessment Projects

At GAI, we understand how environmental impacts, public review, technical constraints, permitting and plan approval can hinge on any number of preliminary planning and design considerations. Furthermore, failure to anticipate problems may result in substantial and even insurmountable delays in a project’s timetable and its economic viability. From conceptual site design through final construction, we know the process and have the experience to help you succeed.
