Since the introduction of federal environmental legislation in the 1960s, GAI has worked closely with clients to understand and meet environmental challenges. We guide clients through federal and state agency environmental and permitting regulations, including the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), and the Clean Water Act (CWA).

We perform environmental assessments for all types of land development projects, assist in brownfield redevelopment projects, and lead facility siting work for power plant clients. We are also a recognized industry leader in the control of fires in abandoned underground mines.
