GAI believes in the importance of a quality education and real-life experience.
That's why we support tomorrow’s engineering and environmental professionals with $5,000 scholarships and paid internships.
“Each scholarship winner shows tremendous promise in the engineering and science fields, and we are excited to help advance these talented individuals’ bright futures,” offers President and CEO Gary DeJidas, P.E.
Now in its third year, the GAI Engineering & Environmental Science Scholarship is presented to college juniors for tuition and/or general living expenses for their senior year. Candidates who perform well during their internship assignment are considered for full-time employment upon graduation and attainment of a degree. In fact, the program has fostered five full-time employees to date.
"This is our way of giving promising students the chance to excel and gain real-world experience," explains Chief Human Resources Officer David Mollish. "We hope that during this summer work experience, students get to realize first-hand that GAI is a great place to work.”
Following are the 2011 GAI Scholarship winners:
John Duhring, Carnegie Mellon University (GAI-Pittsburgh)
Melissa Englert, Point Park University (GAI-Pittsburgh)
