Description: Working through Project Supervisors and Project Managers, the successful candidate will manage the construction inspection and construction monitoring functions of the Philadelphia office; a current staff of 32 inspectors, supervisors and managers and a full service soils, concrete and materials lab. The individual will be have full responsibility for inspection sales and marketing, proposal preparation, contract pricing, work scheduling, job site safety of staff, staff training, report review and processing, invoicing, and client satisfaction among other responsibilities. Projects typically involve concrete, steel, and soils inspections on building and transportation projects. Familiarity with ACI, ASTM, NRC and AISC requirements and standards and NICET, NECEPT certifications and processes a must. Familiarity with PennDOT procedures, Letters of Interest, and ECMS system preferred. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline required; PE preferred. Minimum 10 years experience in the construction industry in the Philadelphia region with an emphasis on buildings and transportation facilities.

Description: Full-time structural and roadway (concrete and asphalt paving) inspectors for assignment on various PennDOT projects in Montgomery County, PennDOT District 6-0. All shifts and weekend work may be required. PennDOT or equivalent DOT inspection experience required. NICET, ACI, NECEPT and NeXtGen certifications are a plus.

Job tasks include making concrete cylinder samples, testing soils for compaction and writing inspection reports. ACI certification for concrete testing and Troxler certification for soil testing a plus. Training will be provided. Must have a vehicle and current valid driving license. Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
